Robbery suspect arrested; accomplice sought

COEUR d’ALENE—Police have arrested a 22-year-old male in connection with an armed robbery that took place at Piggie’s Deli and Gas Market, 2001 E. Sherman Ave., Coeur d’Alene, on Monday morning.
Tony A. Shope was brought in Wednesday and questioned by Coeur d’Alene police detectives who then arrested him. He faces a possible charge of one count of robbery.
Shope and a suspected accomplice, Andrew Jared Reed, 24, allegedly entered Piggie’s Deli at 5 a.m. Monday and “pointed handguns at the cashier while demanding money.” The cashier complied with their demands and the two suspects fled the scene.
Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for Reed, who lives in Coeur d’Alene. The bond amount is $100,000.
