COEUR d'ALENE - Sophomore Bryce Leavitt, a 6-foot-5 transfer from Washington State, had 12 points, seven rebounds and two steals to lead the North Idaho College men's basketball team to a 94-50 win against the visiting Gonzaga club team at Rolly Williams Court on Thursday night.

"It was a really balanced effort tonight," NIC coach Jared Phay said. "I thought it was a good game for us since we're still trying to learn how to play with each other, but the guys played well tonight."

NIC (2-0) forced 18 turnovers, compared to two by the Gonzaga club.

"We want to put pressure on people this year and we started to create turnovers," Phay said. "We started to run and got into what we want to do offensively."

Freshman Will Dorsey scored 13 points, Braxton Tucker 12 for NIC, which hosts Central Wyoming next Friday at 7 p.m. in the Cardinal Classic.
