WARMING: Just a matter of control
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 12 years, 6 months AGO
Everyone knows that extreme climate changes have occurred routinely throughout the history of our planet, but any dramatic weather patterns nowadays always get blamed on man-caused global warming. If you question the validity of this looming environmental crisis, you will be dismissed as an ignorant fringe skeptic who cares nothing about the environment.
I admit that I am not a scientist, but in my view one need not necessarily be a scientist to interpret some of the pertinent information. For example, even though the climate changers like to point out that arctic (north pole) sea ice has receded considerably (or at least until this trend started reversing itself in the last few years), they would prefer ignoring that for decades sea ice has been growing (increasing) by roughly that same amount in Antarctica (south pole).
Also incompatible with the doom and gloom predictions — and contrary to Al Gore’s documentary — is the fact that polar bears have not been diminishing in population. Some estimates say there are perhaps four times as many polar bears now as existed 50 years ago. Data from the National Center for Public Policy Research, as well as from the World Wildlife Fund show that overall bear populations are in fact not diminishing.
The world’s scientists all seem to agree that average global temps have remained fairly flat since 1998. In other words, there has been no actual increase in global average temperature for the last 15 years, which clearly contradicts the prediction models created by alarmists. But don’t take my word on this — research it for yourself.
Should we not then question whether the environment is the real issue here, or is it in reality more about the U.N. having the power to extort money from developed nations in the form of carbon credits (with no benefit to the environment), as well as to control human behavior in every country on our planet?
