MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake man has been arrested in connection to the armed robberies at two Moses Lake convenience stores.

Moses Lake police arrested Cruz R. Vasquez, 20, Thursday afternoon on two counts of first-degree robbery for allegedly entering two different convenience stores Sunday and Monday night, armed with a firearm and demanding money from the clerk, according to police reports.

The second suspect involved in Monday's robbery of JR's Economart on West Broadway Avenue has not yet been identified.

Detectives have questioned the person of interest who was in one of the stores shortly before the robbery. The man was detained and released and police believe he was not involved at this time, according to Capt. Dave Sands.

Anyone with information on the second suspect is asked to contact either Sgt. Brian Jones or Detective Matt Fullbright at 509-764-3887 or 509-762-1160.
