At least three free Thanksgiving Day dinners are being planned in Kootenai County for anyone in need.
Meals will be served at:
* the Lake City Center, 1916 Lakewood Drive, Coeur d'Alene, from noon to 2 p.m.
* Fedora Pub and Grille, 1726 W. Kathleen Ave., Coeur d'Alene, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
* St. George Catholic Church, 2004 N. Lucas St., Post Falls, from 2-4 p.m.
"We want it to feel like the community is coming to our house for Thanksgiving," said Mike Hillicoss, who is organizing the dinner at the Lake City Center with his wife, Vickie. "It's really a heartwarming experience."
The 15th annual event will include 45 turkeys and 60 pies, served by 120 volunteers.
"We're preparing to serve more than 700 plates of food," Hillicoss said. "It takes about $3,500 to make this happen."
Any leftover food will be provided to the Union Gospel Mission or Anchor House.
To make donations, or for more information, call (509) 226-3208 or send an email to freethanksgivingdaymeal@aol.com.
There will be live music and Santa will have gifts for the kids.

There will be live music.
• The meal in Post Falls at St. George will be presented by the Knights of Columbus.
