The Northwest Independent Film and Video Entertainment Society, known as kNIFVES, will present its holiday short film, "Without a Ladder," from Friday through Nov. 21 at Hayden Discount Cinema.

Screenings will take place each day at 6:30 p.m. at the movie theater in the Prairie Shopping Center, U.S. 95 and Prairie Avenue.

"Without a Ladder" stars Jack Bannon and Tiger Ashtiani. Organizers say it "offers a look at life through the prism of love and faith, reaffirming the remarkable resilient ability within each of us to find joy and peace."

kNIFVES is a nonprofit that trains the Inland Northwest workforce in film and media arts.

Major funding for "Without a Ladder" was provided by Mountain West Bank and the Idaho Film Office.
