CASPER, Wyo. - Sophomore Renae Mokrzycki had 14 rebounds and 11 points to lead the North Idaho College women's basketball team past Casper College 72-58 in a nonconference game on Friday night.

NIC (3-0), which trailed 32-27 at halftime, won despite playing without sophomore Georgia Stirton, who missed a majority of the game due to a knee injury. Freshmen Ryleigh Swagerty scored 13 points, Panisesi Taimani 12 points and Kara Staggs 11 points for NIC, which faces the Wyoming All-Stars today at noon PST.

"Ryleigh came out and really got us going tonight," NIC coach Chris Carlson said. "It was a great team effort tonight. Getting a win in Casper has been tough the last couple of years, so it was a big deal tonight."
