Don't know what to give grandma and grandpa this year?

Why not give the gift of being able to hearing loved ones and take part in dinner conversation during this special time of year?

Hearing is something that will benefit your loved one for many years to come. Our elderly family members sometimes will begin to pull away from family functions as it gets more difficult for them to hear conversations. Oftentimes, loved ones may become aggravated that they have to endure not being able to participate in conversation and holiday fun.

With the advances in technology we have these days, there is no reason to ignore something that restricts your lifestyle and enjoyment. It is very important to keep those that we love engaged in life.

For most people, their grandkids are the treasures and highlights of their holiday. Don't let a family member struggling with hearing loss miss out. Grandparents look forward to visiting with their grandchildren during this magical time of year, but with age-related presbycusis, or high frequency hearing loss, they struggle greatly to hear these little soft voices.

Make arrangements to have your loved one's hearing evaluated to ensure that they don't miss out!

Shop local, buy local

Invest in your own community. Local businesses are owned by people who live in this community; they are less likely to leave, and more invested in the future of the community and the quality of service that goes along with the purchase. Buying local from the small business owner is what makes our town a "hometown."

Let's fix those old hearing aids!

A lot of us have hearing aids sitting in our drawers that, for whatever reason, are no longer being used in our ears, but are taking up space in a drawer instead.
