MOSES LAKE - Big Bend Community College (BBCC) men's basketball returns to the court Saturday to face off against former players in the Alumni Game.

The Vikings are coming off a season that saw the team dominate the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges' (NWAACC) East region. The team finished 13-1 in the region and had an overall record of 26-6.

The team will look to have similar success this season with the return of explosive sophomore Brendan Westendorf. Westendorf was third in scoring in the NWAACC averaging just over 22 points per game. His season high was 40.

Westendorf is also exceptional at setting up his teammates. The 6 feet, 5 inches guard from Kent lead the NWAACC East region with 5.81 assists per game.

The team will have to deal with the loss of sophomore Kyle Nield, the second leading scorer for the Vikings a year ago. Nield averaged just under 17 points per game and had a season high of 33.

The Alumni Game is scheduled for a 4 p.m. tip off Saturday. BBCC kicks off league play against Yakima Valley Jan. 8 at the DeVries Activity Center.
