SKC's Green recognized by state of Montana

MISSOULA — Salish Kootenai College junior Eva Green was tabbed as one of nine Montana student-athletes to receive the 2013 Montana Athletes in Service Award sponsored by Montana Campus Compact, the organization announced.

Green, a standout basketball player for the Lady Bison, will be recognized on the field at the Montana-Montana State football game in Bozeman on Saturday, according to a press release from the MCC.

A business major from Wellpinit, Wash., Green is one of the Lady Bison’s top scorers.

The other recipients are Andy Austin, football, Montana State; Taylor Cumming, women’s basketball, MSU-Northern; Kelsey DeWit, women’s basketball, Montana Tech; Haylee Gallegos, women’s basketball, Dawson Community College; Jayde Hair, volleyball, Rocky Mountain College; Conner Hausauer, men’s golf, Carroll College; Brian Labbe, football, Montana-Western; Lewis Polkow, men’s track & field, Montana State and Jordan Sullivan, women’s basketball, Montana.

Polson woman pleads not guilty to homicide

Danielle Jeanette Wood pleaded not guilty to deliberate homicide during a video arraignment Tuesday before Lake County District Court Judge Deborah “Kim” Christopher at the Sanders County Courthouse in Thompson Falls. Wood is charged with deliberate homicide in connection with the death of Thompson Falls resident Matthew LaFriniere in May 2018.
