Wampus Cats fall to Tigers in season opener

WALLACE — Sydney Koenig had 14 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Mullan Tigers past the Clark Fork Wampus Cats in the opening game of the North Star League tournament on Friday night at Kirby Krulitz Court.

Lyndsie Kiebert scored a team-high 15 points, Annie Wurm had 11 rebounds and Leslie Kiebert scored seven for Clark Fork (0-1), which faces either Wallace or Kootenai in the consolation game at 6 p.m.

Charli Sadler had nine rebounds and six assists, Bree Ploharz eight points, eight rebounds and four assists and Robbyn Trogden had eight points, eight rebounds and four steals for Mullan, which plays in the championship game at 7:30 p.m.
