Cold-shooting Eagles lose at UC Irvine

IRVINE, Calif. - The Eastern Washington University men's basketball team followed a 64 percent shooting night with a 24 percent half and went on to lose to UC Irvine 81-58 Sunday at the Bren Events Center in the 2K Sports Classic benefitting the Wounded Warrior Project.
Eastern (4-2) trailed by 21 points at halftime.
Luke Nelson scored 19 points and Alex Young added 16 for UC Irvine (4-3), which made 11 of 19 3-point shots.
Sophomore Tyler Harvey scored 21 points to lead the Eagles, who play host to Seattle on Friday.
