Columbia Falls will celebrate the Night of Lights on Friday, Dec. 6, with fairs, vendors, Santa Claus and a parade.

The annual craft and bake fair at the North Valley Seniors Center, 205 Nucleus Avenue, will run from noon to 8 p.m. A soup supper with three types of soup will run from 4 to 8 p.m. A bowl of soup and a roll is $3, and brats and polish dogs are $3 apiece. A variety of desserts will also be offered. The fair and supper are a fundraiser for the senior center.

Craft vendors will open for business at the Teakettle Community Room on Nucleus Avenue starting at 4 p.m.

The Children’s  Holiday Village in Marantette Park will be lit up throughout the holiday season.

Participants in the main event, the parade down Nucleus Avenue, will begin to line up at the post office at 5 p.m. The judging for floats will begin at 5:30 p.m. The parade will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The Columbia Falls Relay For Life group will march in the parade and is seeking all survivors, family members, caregivers and friends of all ages to show their support in the fight against cancer. Meet them at the black locomotive at the north end of Nucleus Avenue at 5 p.m. This year’s relay theme is Superhero Cancer Survivors, so marchers should show up dressed for action.

Santa Claus will be on hand to greet children after the parade at the Teakettle Community Room.

Children will have a second chance to meet Santa Claus during the Rotary Club of Columbia Falls’ sixth annual Brunch With Santa. This year the brunch will be held at Timber Creek Village, 375 Meadow Lake Boulevard, on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

Brunch With Santa will include music, breakfast and lunch food from local restaurants and caterers, a free photo of children with Santa, and a silent auction featuring travel, food, golfing and other items. Tickets are $10 adults and free for children 12-and-under with a paid adult. Tickets are available at the door.
