Magnuson, a junior and Coeur d'Alene resident who graduated from Gonzaga Prep in Spokane and swam for Lake City High, competed at the 2013 Arena Invitational in Monterey Park, Calif., where she finished sixth in the 50-meter freestyle in 23.44 seconds, 100 backstroke in 56.35, 11th in the 100 freestyle in 51.23. In relays, she was third in the 400 medley, seventh in the 200 medley and 10th in the 400 freestyle relay.
