ROYAL CITY - Royal High School librarian Susan Piercy's leadership class will honor United States military veterans and current service members early in November, and your help is sought.

Royal High School will recognize veterans with an assembly on a date yet to be announced, but it will be just before Nov. 11, the actual Veterans Day.

"For this gathering we are asking for pictures of veterans related to RHS students or staff, former students of RHS who are veterans, or any who are currently serving in the armed forces," Piercy said.

You are encouraged to email pictures to Susan Piercy at spiercy@royal.wednet.edu or drop them off at the High School library. Please include identification and a brief message about the veteran's military career.

Photos will be scanned so they may be placed on a wall of honor, and the originals will be returned to the sender.

"Permission to use Facebook images of your vets or service members would also be useful," Piercy said.
