Ramseyer sparks Vikings

COEUR d'ALENE - Megan Ramseyer had 13 kills, 24 assists, 10 digs and three aces as the Coeur d'Alene Vikings defeated the Sandpoint Bulldogs 25-15, 22-25, 25-14, 25-22 in nonleague volleyball Tuesday night.

Miranda Miller had 15 kills for Coeur d'Alene (12-5). Missy Huddleston had seven digs, Ali Williams four aces, Morgan Leifer two blocks.

"We served tough tonight, making it hard for them to run their offense," Coeur d'Alene coach Dee Pottenger said. "Our setters did a good job using all of our hitters. We moved the ball around on offense, making us less predictable for their block."

Taylor Martin and Hailey Dunn had seven kills each for Sandpoint (14-6). Dunn and Kennedy Search each had 11 assists, Hannah Neumann and Mariah Kluver had 27 digs each, and Kluver and Emma Liband each had four aces.

Coeur d'Alene plays host to Flathead of Kalispell, Mont., on Friday.

Moscow

COEUR d'ALENE - Kaity Widmyer had 18 assists and 14 digs to lead the Timberwolves past the Bears 25-17, 26-24, 25-15 in a nonleague match at Lake City High.

Haile Watson had 11 kills and five digs, C.C. Cates had 14 assists and nine digs and Natalie Taylor had 15 kills for Lake City (13-2), which travels to Lewiston on Thursday night.

Timberlake

BONNERS FERRY - Timberlake got six kills from Tayah Holbert, but the Tigers lost to Bonners Ferry 25-10, 17-25, 26-24, 25-23 in Intermountain League play.

Matraca Rocheleau finished with 10 assists for Timberlake (1-15, 0-4 IML), Shea Dretke had nine digs and Ayla Jelinek led the Tigers in aces.

For Bonners Ferry (2-2 IML), Jasmine Hill had nine kills and McKenzie MacDonald finished with seven. Emma Kelly had 25 assists and four aces, and Desirae Minor had 21 digs.

Timberlake plays at Lakeland in on Thursday.

St. Maries

ST. MARIES - Amber Eixenberger had 13 digs and seven kills to lead the Wildcats past the Lumberjacks 25-15, 25-13, 17-25, 25-16 in a nonleague match.

Kelsey Carter had eight kills and Jordan Smith was credited with 77 assists for Kellogg (8-8), which hosts Priest River on Thursday at Andrews Gymnasium.

Jaycee McQueen had 18 assists, Kelsey Auer 16 assists and two blocks, Kari Ghramm and Kendall Brusseau nine kills, Madi McQueen 12 digs and Aubree Hall 11 digs for St. Maries (3-12), which faces Coeur d'Alene Charter on Thursday at Holy Family Catholic School.

"I think our outside hitters (Ghramm and Brusseau) did a good job," St. Maries coach Missy Asbury said. "But we're still making a lot of errors and had to change our game plan a little because our middle hitter (Haylee Waddell) was out because of Distinguished Young Women."

Kootenai

HARRISON FLATS - Senior Austin Andersen had three digs for Kootenai, which is still searching for its first win after a 25-19, 25-20, 25-22 loss to visiting Clark Fork in North Star League action.

As a team, the Warriors (0-11, 0-6 NSL) had 14 kills and 14 assists. They also had five digs, two blocks and three aces.

"We did a much better job playing as a team," Kootenai coach Jessica Hammond. "Our back row and defense looked good. We just didn't get it done with our front row attack. Austin did a good job leading the team tonight."

The Warriors travel to Wallace on Thursday.
