Coeur d'Alene Sting under-9 boys Manchester: The Sting lost 3-2 to the Moscow United U10 team. Caden Thompson scored both goals for the Sting.
The Sting then beat Moscow U10 Maynard 6-4. Caden Thompson and Landon Sternberg each scored two goals, and Isaac Fritts and Nate Wyatt each scored once.
Sting U12 girls Whitecaps: The Sting beat the Orting FC 01 3-0 on Saturday. Maddie Smith, Megan Corrette, and Jaizee Cessna each scored once, Jaizee Cessna and Jordan Roth both had assists, and Emma Ramage and Lily Foster teamed for the shutout in goal.

Sting U14 girls Barcelona: The Sting traveled to Puyallup for two away games in the Classic 1 Division of the Puget Sound Premiere League this past weekend. On Saturday, the Sting beat the RSA Elite G99 Harris 7-0. Annica Wilson scored four goals, and Larissa Bailey, Abigail Ellison and Megan Drake each scored once. Alecia Rollins had five saves in goal for the shutout.

Sting U13 girls Galaxy: The Sting beat the Spokane Foxes Gold 1-0. Sarah Swider scored on a penalty kick late in the game for the Sting.
Idaho Thunder U12 boys: The Thunder beat the Spokane Pumas Platinum team 7-1 on Saturday. Jadyn Freeman and Jalen Skalskiy each scored a hat trick, and Collin Bell scored one. Cameron Calabrettol had three assists and Tristan Delbridge had one. Max Smith had three saves in goal.
Thunder U11 boys: The Thunder beat the Spokane Breakers Nuss 6-0. Logan Koller scored four goals, and Caleb Calkins and Devin Logan each scored once. Lance Gilmor had three assists, Dylon Moore two. Josh Nilson and Nathan Dorucher teamed for the shutout in goal.
Thunder U13 boys: The Thunder lost 11-2 to Moscow, then came back to beat Spokane 6-4, as Joe Kimpton scored four goals, and Charlie Beckett and Josiah Deek each scored once.
Lakeland Nighthawks U11 boys Mooney: In a friendly, the Nighthawks tied the Idaho Thunder Johnson 4-all on Thursday at River City Middle School. Brody Singer scored twice for the Nighthawks, and Steven Ball and Kevin Dunn each scored once.
In WSYSA District 6 League play, the Nighthawks tied the Three Rivers SC Yakima 2-2 on Saturday at Betty Kiefer Elementary. Kevin Dunn and Gavin Mooney each had goals for Lakeland, and Nicholas Zubaly had an assist.
The Academy U11 boys: The Academy played two PSPL league games last week. The first, a home game against the Coeur d'Alene Sting Newcastle, resulted in a 5-1 Academy victory last Thursday. Devin Claflin scored two goals and Andrew Ferreira, Ethan Lawson and Kyle Sater each scored once. Braden Ferreira had an assist.
In the second game The Academy defeated the Cheney Storm Heuett 7-0 at home on Sunday. Braden Ferreira scored a hat trick, and Brayson Harrington and Cody Carvajal each scored twice. Assists came from Aidan O'Halloran, Brayson Harrrington and Devin Claflin.
The Academy U10 boys: The Academy tied ASE Stout of Tri-Cities 2-2. Byron Anderson and Mason Hancock each scored a goal for the Academy.
The Academy U11 girls: The Academy won 2-0 in Tri-Cities on Sunday, against ASE. Lilly Tweedy scored both goals. for the Academy.
Sting girls U10 Reign: The Sting beat Three Rivers 4 5-1. Amy Corette scored a hat trick, and Cooper Horton and Myah Rietze each scored once. Allie Bailey had two assists, Cooper Horton one.

Sting U12 girls Rapids: The Rapids beat the Valley Soccer Thunder Club U11 team Lewiston 8-1 on Saturday. Morgan Wingham scored three goals, Lizzie Scarlett and Sydney Harbison two each.
On Sunday, the Rapids lost 6-1 to the Sandpoint Strikers. The Rapids' goal was scored by Morgan Wingham.
Sting U11 girls Timbers: The Timbers beat the FC Spokane Sabers 6-0 on Sept. 21. Chloe Miller and Claire Romero each scored two goals, and Holly Hudson and Tate Hochberger had one goal each. Later that day, the Sting beat the SSC Shadow Elite 5-1 victory. Claire Romero had a had trick, and Holly Hudson and Bailey Mongan each had one goal.
This past Saturday, the Timbers lost 3-1 to the Spokane Foxes FC Black. Claire Romero had the lone goal for the Timbers. Later that day, the Timbers traveled to Moscow and beat Moscow United 4-2, with Chloe Miller scoring twice, and Brianna Barnhart and Claire Romero each scoring once.
U11 Sting Sunderland: The Sting beat FC Spokane Lee 4-1 at Hayden Meadows on Friday. Michael Simpson had two goals, and Max Anderson and Connor Norris had one apiece. Rylan Carter and Max Anderson had two assists each, and Martin Bene had four saves.
The Sting lost 5-4 to the SYSA Spiders in Spokane last Saturday. Rylan Carter and Connor Norris each had two goals and an assist. Mason Paskett also had an assist.
Sting U10 boys Barcelona: The Sting lost 6-1 to 3 Rivers A last Saturday. Joseph Sarkis scored on an assist from Cole Jaworski.
The Sting then beat 3 Rivers B 2-1. Noah Janzen scored on an assist from Kohrt Weber, and Joseph Sarkis scored a late goal on an assist from Walker Jump. Walker Jump, Cole Jaworski and Bridger Stephens teamed up for the win in goal.

Timberlake Tigers 19, Post Falls Seahawks 6: Under the lights at Timberlake High, the Tigers improved to 2-0 helped by touchdown runs by Louis Powell, Joey Follini and Jack McDonald.
Gavin Fullmer had two interceptions for Timberlake, and Louis Powell and Brayden Herbert each recovered fumbles.
Coeur d'Alene Jaguars 20, Coeur d'Alene Steelers 20: Cameron Tony rushed for over 130 yards for the Jaguars, including a 42-yard TD run. Wes Sando had a 5-yard TD run and 57 return yards, and Cade McKenzie had a 60-yard TD run. Lukas Neal had seven tackles, Cade McKenzie six.

Post Falls Ducks 38, Coeur d'Alene Raiders 0: The Ducks scored first on a 80-yard run by Shilo Morgan and a extra point run by Wyatt Shelly. Shilo Morgan finished the day with 4 TDs, two of them on punt returns, and one pick-six. Wyatt Shelly connected with Jake Rutherford for a TD pass. Kyle Young made two extra point kicks and had one safety.

Basketball signups: The Coeur d'Alene Recreation Department will register Oct. 1-11 for boys and girls basketball leagues for grades 3-5.
The program is set to begin in November and run through December. Games and practices are held weekdays and Saturdays at local schools. Cost is $26 for city residents and $31 for non-city residents.
Registration is at the Coeur d'Alene City Hall, 710 Mullan Avenue. Sponsors and coaches are also needed. Registration for boys and girls in grades 6-8 will be held Oct. 14-25 and grades K-2 will register in January.
