Stabbing suspect arrested

Coeur d'Alene police have made an arrest in the stabbing incident that occurred Wednesday on E. Sherman Avenue.

Jayde A. Brown, a 21-year-old transient, was booked into the Kootenai County Jail for attempted homicide for allegedly stabbing a 20-year-old male in the chest.

The police have not yet released the victim's name, but they report that he is in stable condition.

Police say the victim is listed as homeless.

During the investigation, detectives were able to determine that the two men had previous disputes over stolen property.
