Coeur d'Alene Polaris has officially also become a Kawasaki dealer, general manager Mike Johnston said Thursday.

He said the business, located at 6040 E. Seltice Way in Post Falls, has been a Polaris dealer for 20 years, and a full-service repair and parts operation.

Johnston said the business will sell Kawasaki street and dirt bikes, side-by-sides, all-terrain vehicles, and watercraft. It will offer a full line of Kawasaki products by the end of the month, and offer maintenance and repairs.

The name will be updated to Coeur d'Alene Polaris/Kawasaki.

Johnston said they are operating in 9,000 square feet of floor space, which includes the showroom and service department.

"It's getting pretty tight here," he said.

The owners are planning on expanding the existing location or possibly moving.

With the addition of Kawasaki products and services, the business will be adding two or three new employees, Johnston said.

He said they are looking for a mechanic with experience working on Kawasaki machines, a salesperson and a service writer. The shop already has 13 employees, he said.

The business is owned by Eric Holt.
