Angry motorist makes major threat

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday from a motorist who confronted another driver over reckless driving on U.S. 93 South, and when he did so, the other driver pulled out a rifle and threatened to put a bullet in the reporting party’s skull. Both parties were counseled and a deputy determined that no weapons were involved in the incident.
A woman calling from a residence on U.S. 93 south of Whitefish reported that her ex-boyfriend was in the house and refusing to leave.
A woman calling from Kila Cliff Trail said her husband, whom she recently divorced, was making threats and refusing to move out of the house.
Someone calling from Conrad Point Road in the Lakeside area reported two separate thefts from a storage building, with a power drill and other items being stolen.
A woman calling from North Meridian Road said someone punched her in the face when she tried to get a dog back that she was supposed to be taking care of.
An altercation broke out on Zimmerman Road in the Kalispell area Sunday night, apparently between neighbors who were angry over juveniles driving recklessly. At one point, the neighbors were preventing one of the young drivers from leaving the area.
There was a report of an intoxicated man stumbling around in the North Cedar Drive area. The man apparently banged on the reporting party’s car window and attempted to open the door before wandering off.
A woman reported that the boyfriend of one of her friends grabbed her by the hair, pulled her out of a pickup truck and left her on U.S. 2 near Kila.
Early Monday, at about 12:20 a.m., a man said he and his mother’s boyfriend were attacked by his sister’s boyfriend at a residence on Dawn Drive near Columbia Falls. The attacker was subsequently arrested on unspecified charges.
A residence on Dodd Avenue near Somers was hit with eggs.
There was a report to Kalispell Police of a railroad trestle and a highway bridge being vandalized with graffiti near Meridian Road.
A woman calling from Greatview Drive said her husband pushed her off a porch when she attempted to pick up their two kids.
A woman who locked herself in the bathroom at a bar on Woodland Avenue claimed her husband was threatening her in the bar.
There was a strange case of road rage on Montana 35, involving a driver who was tailgating another driver who then started to follow the tailgater. At one point, both were driving in reverse, with the tailgater following the reporting party. They eventually drove into Kalispell where they were met by officers and sent on their way.
Monday morning, there was a report of a church on U.S. 2 West being broken into, with a couch inside being vandalized.
A Kalispell sewer department was vandalized with graffiti on Sunnyside Drive.
Whitefish Police got a report Sunday about a vehicle striking a solar-powered pedestrian crossing sign on Wisconsin Avenue. The driver fled the scene, but pieces of the vehicle were left behind.
There was a report of a man punching out a glass door at a business on U.S. 93 south and then fleeing the scene.
Someone attempted to pry open a door at a business on East Second Street. While a lock held up, the door was damaged.
After a short vehicle pursuit that ended at a residence on Lacy Lane, a man was arrested on unspecified charges.
Columbia Falls Police got a report Sunday of a towable log splitter being stolen from a yard on 11th Avenue West.
Hockey equipment was reportedly stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Ninth Street West.
Polson Police arrested someone Sunday in the KwaTaqNuk Resort parking lot for aggravated drunk driving.
The Kalispell Fire Department was simultaneously dispatched to alarms at Lowe’s, Health Center Northwest, the Summit, Home Depot and Costco at about 1:35 p.m. Monday, causing quite a stir of sirens on the north end of Kalispell. It turned out that a water surge triggered water flow alarms at the businesses.
