Noxon prepares to take on Superior

NOXON – The Lady Red Devils competed against St. Regis on both Thursday and Friday nights in two District 10-C matches, gaining experience and valuable lessons on the court.
Despite their hard efforts on the court, the girls lost both games, losing Thursday’s 10-25, 22-25 and 11 to 25. Scores for the Friday night game were unavailable.
In the Thursday matchup Noxon had 9 kills, with Zoey Osborne and Nicole Zavoianu pulling in three a piece. The Lady Devils had one block by Osborne and had 27 digs with Sara Webley leading with 9. The ladies brought in six assists split down the middle by both Webley and Bethanie Ulrick. The ladies scoring was on point with six aces adding to the team’s point total, Zavoianu bringing in half of them.
Currently the ladies record sits at 3-3, 4-5.
The ladies will go on to compete against Superior on Thursday, October 10 in Mineral County. The varsity game will begin at 7 p.m.
Their next home game will be against Two Eagle River on October 12.
