Coeur d'Alene Sting under-8 boys: The Sting lost 5-1 to Milan. Noah Waddell scored for the Sting.
The Sting beat Juventus 8-2. Ronan Sternberg scored four goals, Treffen McCord two, and Noah Waddell and Preston Frank one each.
The Sting lost 4-0 to Roma.
Sting U9 boys Manchester: The Sting beat the Pullman Pumas Strenge 3-1. Nate Wyatt scored two goals, Isaac Fritts one for the Sting, and Darren Gosch had an assist.
Sting U10 boys Barcelona: The Sting beat the Spokane Shadow-South Hill 7-2 last Saturday. Joseph Sarkis scored five goals - two unassisted, the others assisted by Sean Dremann, Bridger Stephens and Walker Jump. Colton Stinson scored, assisted by Tyler Gasper; and Sean Dremann scored assisted by Joseph Sarkis.
Sting U9 Arsenal: The Arsenal played twice on Saturday against U10 Pullman Pumas teams. The Arsenal lost 3-1 to the Pumas Strenge, with Jack Meehan scoring the lone goal for the Arsenal.
The Pumas Oatley beat the Arsenal 7-1, with Luke Orozco scoring the lone goal for the Arsenal.
Sting U12 girls Whitecaps: The Whitecaps beat the Issaquah Gunners 5-1 on Saturday. Jordan Roth had two goals and two assists, and Kate Gatten, Megan Corrette and Jaizee Cessna each scored once.
The Whitecaps then tied Northwest United 0-0 in Mt. Vernon, Wash., Saturday evening. Emma Ramage and Lily Foster teamed for the shutout in goal.
On Sunday morning the Whitecaps beat Fuerza FC 2-0 in Marysville, Wash. Jaizee Cessna and Jordan Roth had one goal each, and Geneva Bengtson had an assist. Jordan Roth and Emma Ramage combined for the shutout in goal.
Sting U14 Girls Barcelona: The Sting competed in Round 1 of the Premier Division Northwest Far West Regional League in Redmond, Wash., this past weekend.
The Sting gave up three goals in the first 10 minutes and lost 3-1 to Eastside FC GU99 Red. Megan Drake scored for the Sting.
The Sting then lost 2-1 to NW Nationals G99 Red. Larissa Bailey scored for the Sting.
The Sting then beat BSC Portland 99G Black 3-0, with all three goals in the second half. Annica Wilson scored twice for the Sting, and Megan Drake scored off an assist from Acasia Vernon.
The Idaho Thunder U12 boys: The Thunder tied the Spokane Breakers 2-2 in Spokane. Josh Brisendine and Alex Lycan each scored for the Thunder, on assists from Gavin McFeely and Josh Brisendine.
Thunder U13 girls: The Thunder blanked the FC Spokane Sabers 9-0 last Saturday. Maddy Lasher scored eight goals, with assists from Jazzmin Kernodle, Bethany Gilmor, Kacy Johnston and Alaura Camp. Jazzmin Kernodle scored once. Carly Schracher earned the shutout in goal, with help from defenders Eva Woods, Katelyn Jesienouski, Sarah Smith, Tatum Jones and Vi Teeter.
Thunder U11 boys Johnson: The Thunder beat the Sandpoint Strikers 6-2 in Post Falls. Logan Koller scored two goals for the Thunder, and Nathan Durucher, Caleb Calkins, Devin Logan and Landon Laine each scored once. Devin Logan had two assists, Caleb Calkins one.
Sting U10 girls Reign: The Sting lost 6-2 to Shadow Valley 4: Myah Rietze scored both goals for the Sting, and Gabrielle Roberts had an assist.
Sting U10 boys United: The Sting tied the Spokane SSC Shadow Simmet 3-3 last Saturday. Noah Janzen scored all three goals for the Sting, and Cooper Prohaska had an assist.
The Academy Idaho U11 girls: The Cads beat the Sting 4-0 on Saturday, on goals from Emily Johnson, Kaylee Moate, Kendall Pickford and Sophia Morlan.
The Academy Idaho U13 girls: The Cads beat the FC Spokane White twice last weekend. On Saturday the Cads won 2-1. Kyla Currie scored the first goal for the Cads, assisted by Cassidy Kerzman. Cali Shipman scored the second goal, assisted by Cassidy Kerzman.
On Sunday the Cads won 1-0 on a goal by Kyla Currie, assisted by Cassidy Kerzman. Jourdin Zaragoza earned the shutout in goal.
Sting U12 girls Rapids: The Sting beat The Academy U11 4-0 on Sunday, on goals by Chloe Butler, Maddison Duty, Lizzie Scarlett and Morgan Wingham.

Lakeland Gold 13, Bonners Ferry Badgers 6
Coeur d'Alene Steelers 20, Lakeland Hawks 7: Brennen Crawford scored on touchdown runs of 1 and 27 yards for the Steelers, and Cody Smith threw a 62-yard TD pass to Gabe Araiza. Ethan Potter, Nate Hayes and Dylan Franks each had sacks in the win.
Coeur d'Alene Bucs 26, Coeur d'Alene Jaguars 6: The Bucs allowed just 37 net yards, led by Connor Dremann (14 tackles), Patrick LaSarte (7 tackles), Justin Gies (5 tackles) Max Peed, Brogan Link, and Logan Jeanselme (4 tackles), and Derek Pearse (3 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery).
The offense was led by Pearse with 3 TD runs, 1 PAT run and 57 yards rushing, Jeanselme with 1 TD and 86 yards rushing and Peed with 36 yards rushing. Pearse and Jeanselme also connected 4 times through the air for 32 yards and a PAT pass. Special teams were led by DJ Wattam with 109 punt/kick return yards.
For the Jags, Austin Schmidt, Thomas Schmidt and Lukas Neal had six tackles each.
Fifth grade
Broncos 8, Packers 8: Late in the fourth quarter, the Packers' PAT kick, worth two points, hit the crossbar and bounced over. The Broncos rushed for 198 yards, led by Zach Rodriguez with 68 yards and Tristan White with 42 yards and a touchdown. The Broncos defense also had one interception, one fumble recovery and caused four other fumbles.
Vikings 18, Chargers 12: Luke McLaughlin scored two touchdowns, Jack Prka one for the Vikings.
Seventh grade
Post Falls Ducks 31, Silver Valley Storm 0: Wyatt Shelly had two TD passes and one TD run for the Ducks. Shilo Morgan had one TD reception and one extra point run, Dakota Portanova had a pick-six, Jake Rutherford had one TD reception, and Austin Fitzgerald caused a fumble which he recovered in the end zone for a TD. Shilo Morgan and Dakota Portanova both had interceptions.
ASA SOFTBALL
Wildfire wins: The Northwest Wildfire 16-and-under team won the Northwest Ladysharks Mike Richdale Memorial 16A tournament in Kent, Wash., on Oct. 6. After finishing pool play on Saturday with a 2-1 record, Wildfire's record on Sunday was perfect by first beating the '97 Flame Fastpitch 4-3, the NW Sidewinders 5-2, and in the championship game, avenged their only tourney loss by beating the Washington Synergy 16-5.
