WHITEFISH — The Pirates (3-2, 1-1) struggled on offense, turning the ball over five times in the road defeat.

“Part of it was my fault,” coach Scott Wilson said. “We’d be moving down the field running the ball and I’d call a play action and we’d throw an interception.”

The Pirates’ lone score, an 8-yard pass from Andrew Weltz to Cedrick Smith, came in the fourth quarter.

Jacob Clairmont led the rushing attack with 37 yards on eight totes.

Hudson Smith caught two passes for 51 yards.
