Whitefish 6, Polson 1

WHITEFISH — Spencer Raymond scored the first varsity goal of his career in Polson’s defeat on the road.

“He intercepted a pass from the Whitefish keeper and sent a long shot from just inside midfield over the keeper’s head and into the net,” Polson coach Jess Kittle said of the 68th-minute score.

Whitefish outshot the Pirates 17-4 in the match, scoring in the 12th, 19th, 34th, 52nd, 57th and 74th minute.

Jared Johnson netted a hat trick for the Bulldogs.

Polson received three yellow cards in the match.

Bigfork 4, Polson 1

BIGFORK — Jonah Kasnitz scored first for Polson on Saturday in the fifth minute, but the Vikings assumed the lead in the 30th minute and never looked back.

According to Kittle, the Pirates “lost our intensity” after an offsides call midway through the first half.

Polsons’ boys remained winless (0-10, 0-6) in 2013 with the loss.
