SANDPOINT - A fast start by Sandpoint was quickly erased by the Louie-McGee brothers, who hooked up for three first-half touchdowns to lead Lake City to a convincing 70-30 win over Sandpoint in nonleague football Friday night at Barlow Stadium.

The Bulldogs (2-4) started fast with a 24 yard field goal by Quinn Pearlstein and a 95 yard kickoff return by Carson Paull, taking a 9-7 lead midway through the first quarter.

It was all Lake City (4-2) from there, as Jerry Louie-McGee hauled in scoring strikes of 45, 29 and 12 yards from brother Tucker Louie-McGee, Gavan Rosteck found the end zone on two short runs, Kirk McKenzie returned an interception 40 yards for a pick-six, and Nathan Newby recovered a fumble in the end zone as the Timberwolves erupted for 56 first-half points.

Tucker Louie-McGee finished 11 of 14 for 242 yards, all in the first half, and Jerry Louie-McGee ran for 45 yards and caught three passes for 87 yards, also all in the first half.

Trent Green and Chris Baker each had first-half interceptions for Lake City, which forced a host of three-and-outs and held the Bulldogs to just 288 yards of offense on the night, much of it in the second half when the game was already decided.

Carson Paull rushed for 106 yards on 18 carries for Sandpoint, and returned a kickoff 95 yards for a score.

Lake City plays host to Chiawana of Pasco, Wash., on Friday.
