Volleyball roundup: Glacier drops Sentinel; Frenchtown spills C-Falls

Glacier stayed undefeated in conference play on Saturday, easily beating Missoula Sentinel in three sets, 25-9, 25-15, 25-18 in a Western AA conference volleyball match at Glacier.

Cassi Hashley had nine kills and four blocks in the dominant performance for the Wolfpack (14-2 overall, 8-0 Western AA). Tessa Krueger had a match-high 10 kills, Kayla Russell had 11 digs and Hannah Liss led Glacier with 24 assists and five aces.

Kills — Sentinel 10 (Lexi Delridge 4), Glacier 32 (Tessa Krueger 10, Cassi Hashley 9). Assists — Sentinel 9 (Nicole Schmid 4, Tian Harrington 4), Glacier 28 (Hannah Liss 24). Blocks — Sentinel 4 (Echo Lenss 3), Glacier 9 (Hashley 4, Brielle Bumgarner 3). Digs — Sentinel 31 (Lauren Cady 10), Glacier 45 (Kayla Russell 11). Columbia Falls 1

COLUMBIA FALLS — Frenchtown (9-0, 5-0) rallied to beat Columbia Falls (6-5, 4-2) 19-25, 25-6, 25-20, 25-14 in a matchup of the top two teams in Northwestern A.

Morgan Ray had 18 kills and 17 digs to lead the Broncs, which needed to comeback from a first set loss. Haley Belgarde had 12 kills, two blocks and two aces for the Wildkats.

Kills — Frenchtown 54 (Morgan Ray 18), Columbia Falls 29 (Haley Belgarde 12). Assists — Frenctown 51 (Josie Anderson 26), Columbia Falls 25 (Cydney Finberg 17). Blocks — Frenchtown 11 (Vanessa Stavish 4), Columbia Falls 7 (Carla Nicosia 2, Winter Kemppainen 2, Belgarde 2, Ciera Finberg 2). Whitefish 3, Polson 0

WHITEFISH — Maura Kalbfleisch had 10 kills as Whitefish (4-6 , 2-3 Northwestern A) swept Polson (3-6, 1-5) in three sets, 25-17, 25-21, 25-22.

Jaiden Toth led Polson with 10 digs and 24 assists and Jessica Hoel had 10 kills for the Pirates. Marlow Schulz had a pair of blocks and two aces for Whitefish.

Bigfork 0

MISSOULA — Missoula Loyola eased by Bigfork in a Class B nonconference match, beating the Valkyries in three sets, 25-12, 25-19, 25-19.

Lana Berg had six kills and 13 digs to lead Bigfork, but the Breakers were too much on their home court. Sierra Tiede finished with 10 kills, four blocks and 12 digs to lead Loyola in the victory.
