Spirit Lake man injured in U.S. 95 crash

A 69-year-old Spirit Lake man was injured in a three-car crash shortly after noon Saturday on U.S. 95 near milepost 451 in Athol, the Idaho State Police reported.
Michael Flynn was driving his 2012 Volkswagen Jetta north on U.S. 95 when he left the road and struck an Idaho Transportation Department construction sign. According to the ISP he proceeded north, turned around back southbound, then back north where he crossed left of center and sideswiped a 2002 Kia Spectra driven by William Camire, 61, of Bonners Ferry.
After sideswiping Camire's vehicle, Flynn crashed head-on into a 2012 Subaru Forester driven by Paul Rawlings, 67, of Bonners Ferry. Flynn, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Kootenai Health.
Rawlings and Camire were not injured. Both were wearing seat belts.
