MOSES LAKE - More than 30 companies, colleges, training programs and government agencies will have information booths at the Fall Hiring Event at Big Bend Community College Wednesday.

"Many exhibitors are looking to hire for the holiday season, while others are manufacturers that are currently hiring," Ken Russell, of BBCC's Career Placement Center, said. Others will provide information about employment services, Russell said, while others are new employers in the area.

The college also sponsors a bigger job fair in the spring, Russell said, although the fall job fair has grown because of more local employers looking to fill job openings.

Confirmed education exhibitors include the career placement center, WSU Tri-Cities, Central Washington University and Heritage University. The college's computer science, aviation, aviation technical services and manufacturing career development programs will have booths.

SkillSource and WorkSource will have information booths, and so will the Army National Guard. Other exhibitors include Columbia Basin Health Associates, Odessa Memorial Healthcare Center, Moses Lake Senior Living, ConAgra/Lamb-Weston, Aerotek, United Parcel Service (UPS), Safeway, Crown Moving, BBSI, Lowes, Home Depot, Skagit Transportation, Frito-Lay, Grant County PUD, Washington State Patrol, Express Professionals, SVZ USA Washington, Fastenal, Ross Dress for Less and Embry-Riddle.

People who want information on the event can contact Russell, 509-793-2069.
