Berton Van Brunt, 71
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 11 years, 3 months AGO
July 1, 1942 - September 30, 2013. To the family and friends of Berton Van Brunt (Bert): My husband and dearest friend of 43 years was a humble, genuine man...what you saw and heard is what you got. He loved people from the heart, loved the earth with his soul, and loved Jehovah with both... thus, our love was united. I'm writing this message to help each of us reflect on those we've lost... I know Bert would want us to be fortified and encouraged to rely on every promise from our heavenly father, Jehovah, to be fulfilled. Revelation 21: 1-5 was one of the scriptures he regularly shared with others to give both hope and comfort. He served his community in many ways. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, he supported the congregation as an elder and servant. He was known for his generosity, compassion and scriptural support. For 28 years, his business, Ferndale Nursery, provided a much needed service. His knowledge and advice in landscape planning and design, plant selection and care coupled with his personal guarantee of satisfaction was his legacy. Please accept our love and great appreciation for all the help, prayers and support we've been given...and a special thank you to Hospice House for the dignified and professional care given to Bert and all their residents. The family of Bert will greatly miss his smile, laughter and love; Rebecca Van Brunt, Mike and Linda Hudson, Justin and Karla Hudson, Eddie Van Brunt (nephew), Jay Hudson (great nephew), and Ashley Hudson (great niece). In lieu of sending flowers to my home or the Kingdom Hall, please donate to Hospice House or an organization of your choice. Memorial service: October 19th at 3 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 8500 N Ramsey Road, Coeur d’ Alene. Please visit Bert’s online memorial and sign his guestbook at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
