CDA: Four that will restore trust

My wife and I moved to Coeur d’Alene in 2009 and we really like your city. I have always followed politics in local, state, city and county governments since I voted for Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956. Ike was a man of his word: He committed himself to the end of World War ll.

I have always appreciated people like City Councilmen McEvers, Adams, Gookin and Edinger who took a stand and stood on their vote on the McEuen Park project to see it through to the end. They didn’t vote and run away and shirk their responsibility that they were elected to do.

Thanks Woody for standing up for your election promise that you would go to the ballot box “win or lose on Nov. 5, 2013.” Mayor Bloem, Mike Kennedy and Deanna Goodlander also gave their promise to the public to go to the ballot box on Nov. 5, 2013. “Win or Lose.” It’s on the record at City Hall.

We all know that Mayor Bloem, Deanna Goodlander and Mike Kennedy cut their rope and are running away from their responsibility to finish out the conclusion of McEuen Park. They were proud of their vote in May 2011 — it’s also on the public record at City Hall. Aren’t they proud to finish what they started at McEuen Park?

We need to put Mary Souza into the mayor’s chair and elect Sharon Hebert, Chris Fillios and Noel Adam to the City Council and put leadership back into the public’s hand here in Coeur d’Alene. Mayor Bloem, Mike Kennedy and Deanna Goodlander broke their promise to the Coeur d’Alene voters to stand up for their convictions to go to the ballot box on Nov. 5, 2013.

Vote Souza, Hebert, Fillios and Adam to restore trust back to City Hall.
