PLAINS – After three generous donations came in, the town of Plains was able to repair one of the tennis courts at the EL Johnson Memorial Pool Park.
With over half of the funds coming from donations, the town only had to pay $1,800 of the $3,900 bill.
The Asphalt Doctor came out of Missoula to patch and repair the cracks.
Although the court has yet to be resurfaced, the court will be ready to use in the near future.
“We are going to put up the net this year and try to leave it up until the weather gets really bad,” said Mayor Michael Brinson.
As of now there is no further plan to fix the adjacent tennis courts.
“The other two courts would definitely be up to the council and the new mayor after the first year if they could get new donations or find some money,” said Mayor Brinson.
