SHUTDOWN: Seeds for more stalemates

When the Republican Party demanded that Obamacare be defunded or they would shut down the government, I was at first discouraged. Then in further analysis, I realized they may have a good idea for a new kind of government.

I suggest that we never fund the government for more than 30 days. Then after the T-Party completes its current hissy fit to defund Obamacare, even though it gives health care to 30 million uninsured Americans, the Democrats can threaten to bring down the government if assault rifles are not outlawed. Then, in time for Christmas, the radicals in the Republican Party can threaten to ruin the “full faith and credit of the United States, if abortions are not made totally illegal.” Then to start the new year, the Democrats can threaten to cancel all military funding if Congress doesn’t pass the immigration bill.

This will mean that Afghanistan, Pakistan, Egypt, or Somalia won’t have anything on the United States. We will live in a country that operates in a continuous CRISIS mode. We will allow our country to be changed dramatically by our own version of the Taliban. It’s called the T-Party.

What’s next? Car bombs?
