HARRISON - Brad Hruza, a new resident of Harrison, is running for City Council, hoping to assist in the growth and historical preservation of the city.
"The people who live there have all of the same rights as anyone living in any other community," Hruza said. "It is my job to ensure that their rights are respected and their needs are met while at the same time managing our budget."
Hruza is one of four people running for three seats on the council with four-year terms.
If elected, he said, "I would focus attention on improvements to the downtown commercial area, to improve the flow of summer traffic and improve the condition of our city streets."
In the past three years, he has advanced his career from a physical therapist assistant to the director of rehabilitation to currently the administrator in training at Valley Vista Care Center in St. Maries.
He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and his hobbies include hunting, fishing, and enjoying time with his wife and daughter.
He has an associate's degree in physical therapist assistant studies and is a licensed PTA.
He has lived in Harrison for a year, moving from Coeur d'Alene.
