Linda Ann Griffin was called home to our Lord and Savior on Tuesday October 8, 2013. She lost her battle with cancer in the afternoon hours surrounded by friends and family. Linda was a loving wife, wonderful stepmother and a true, best friend. Linda was born in Hollywood, California on November 3, 1946. She grew up in Long Beach, California where she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1964. She married Richard "Dick" Griffin on March 29, 1980. Dick and Linda moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho in September of 1993. She worked for Environment Control for 15 years and had so many dear friends that she always considered her 2nd family. Linda enjoyed her life in the Pacific Northwest and was a devout Christian and true inspiration to all who knew her. She considered Real Life Ministries in Post Falls, Idaho her church home. Linda's husband passed away 2 months earlier and they were blessed to have 33 wonderful years together. She is survived by her step-son Luke Griffin, his wife Cyndy and grandchildren Kelsey, Sara and Derek of Coeur d'Alene, also her step-daughter Julie Furin, her husband Steve and grandchildren Kaitlynn and Jakob of Sagle, Idaho. There will be a private memorial service at Linda's home on Saturday October 26th. The family would prefer, in lieu of flowers, to please give any donations in Linda's name to Hospice of North Idaho, American Cancer Society, or Real Life Ministries. English Funeral Chapel of Coeur d'Alene has been entrusted to handle final arrangements. Please visit Linda's online memorial at www.englishfuneralchapel.com.
