Morley wins for fifth straight time

She did it again.

For the fifth time this year, junior Makena Morley won a cross country race.

Last week Morley won the 7-on-7 event in Helena with a time of 17 minutes. That was 26 seconds faster than Christina Aragon of Missoula Sentinel.

Other BHS girls and their times are as follows:

Emily Cheroske, 21:44; Ellessa Henion, 22:23; Emily Pataky, 24:19; and Anna Pataky, 24:52.

The Vikings were led by Logan Morley, who finished in 16:27. Bozeman’s Jason Holmes won the boys’ race in 15:09.

Other Bigfork boys and their times are as follows: Colton Woll, 16:27; Craig Cheroske, 18:51; George Gibson, 18:02; and Cody Johnson, 19:39.

“We are ready for conference,” BHS coach Sue Loeffler said in an email.

Bigfork will compete in divisionals Friday at 1 p.m. at Ronan. Other teams include Florence and Cut Bank.
