Marge Reader passed away Oct 11, 2013 at the Hospice House in Coeur d'Alene. She was born june 2, 1933 in Memphis, Missouri to Oscar and Zelma North. The family moved to Blackfoot, Idaho where she grew up and attended school. As a teenager she worked at the local drugstore and movie theatre. Little did she know she would marry her first grade valentine, Mick Reader on Feb 14, 1952. they moved to Southgate, CA briefly, then back to Blackfoot. Later in 1960 they would settle in Riverside California. There she was active in her children's schools and worked part-time in a dress shop. They moved to Coeur d'Alene in 1969 after vacationing here. They bought a store-front, sight unseen and opened a neighborhood grocery. Meanwhile they also began a concrete construction business. Marge also attended NIC and earned her practical nurses license in the early 70's. She had worked for Dr. Tarnasky and Dr. Luce. She enjoyed spending summer weekends at the lake and they went to Yuma, Arizona for many winters. Mostly she loved to talk and laugh with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Kenneth and Russell, sisters Bernice Snapp and Carrie Landis, her daughter Linda and son, Rick Reader. She is survived by her husband, Mick; son Randy Reader, daughter and son-in-law JoDee and Leonard Turpin all of Post Falls. Grandson Ryan Reader, Granddaughter Robyn Novotny and husband Steve. Sisters Romona Niell and Betty McCreay of Blackfoot. A family Memorial will be held at a later date. English Funeral Chapels is handling the arrangements.
