When thinking of physical therapy, most would think of the adults and the conditions that require care. There is another group of individuals that could find a great benefit from physical therapy as well: children. That's right! Physical therapy can help children of all ages.

A physical therapist can treat children ranging from infants to teens. Physical therapists specializing in pediatrics assist children in developing and enhancing mobility so they may safely participate in activities at home, in the community, classroom and on the playground.

Physical therapists often incorporate many intervention approaches including stretching, massage, mobilization, strengthening and endurance training to enhance the child's capabilities and prevent deformities.

At Pinnacle Physical Therapy, our physical therapists are concerned with children's ability to take part in important movement activities such as crawling and walking, running, playing games, participating in sports, and in other important physical interactions. We have therapists that specialize in the treatment of tortacollis, scoliosis, sports injuries, and many other conditions that children and adolescents may face. Just because a child is young doesn't mean they will heal on their own. Oftentimes, putting off treatment could cause permanent injury.

Call one of our two convenient locations today to schedule an appointment for your child. We accept most forms of insurance, including Medicaid, and can help you obtain financing. Pinnacle Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine. Post Falls (208) 777-4242 or Coeur d'Alene (208) 665-2000.
