CHARITY: Bad lurking in good

Several churches and charities have free meals for the community and the homeless, but some take a real bad hand on all this. These churches and charities provide free clothes for these people in need, but some of these low life, high-roller people grab up most of the good or newer clothes and take them to consignment places to sell, leaving the people who really needed them without.

These people have no conscience for the needs of others; it’s all about them. Matthew 7:16-17 covers them quite well, you shall know them by their fruits. Still other professing Christians hit the pawn shops, thrift stores and yard sales looking for deals. They never show any credible means of support, even scam people for big bucks for some red hot deal that always fails and leave those who trusted these professing Christians holding the bag, no honor amongst thieves. The scripture tells us to test the spirit, 1st John 4:1.

Whenever the professors start talking big business deals, especially when they are getting you to invest, the flag should go up. See how many of them are living in their cars or driving old beaters loaded to the hilt, dragging bottom over every speed bump. Another thing, they will be accusers, accusing everyone and making excuses for everything. These people PREY on the unsuspecting people, who think that these so-called Christians are really trustworthy.

When they tell you that you can trust them, LOOK OUT! That’s a sure sign that you can’t and they are out to fleece. We have heard of fleecing the flock — that’s the difference between serving the Lord and their selfish desires.
