ROYAL CITY - Royal High School librarian Susan Piercy's leadership class will honor United States military veterans and current service members in observance of the upcoming Veterans Day.

Your assistance would be appreciated.

Royal High School will recognize veterans with an assembly on Thursday, Nov. 7. The actual Veterans Day will be celebrated on Monday, Nov. 11.

"We're asking for pictures of veterans related to RHS students or staff, former students of RHS who are veterans, or any who are currently serving in the armed forces," Piercy said.

You are encouraged to email pictures to Susan Piercy at spiercy@royal.wednet.edu or drop them off at the High School library. Please include identification and a brief message about the veteran's military career.

Photos will be scanned so they may be placed on a Wall of Honor, and the originals will be returned to the sender.

"Permission to use Facebook images of your vets or service members would also be useful," Piercy said.
