JUNIOR TACKLE

Sixth grade

Kellogg Storm 20, Coeur d'Alene Jaguars 0: The Storm scored all three touchdowns in the first half. Leading tacklers for the Jags were Cade McKenzie, Thomas Schmidt, Cooper Brown and Ryan Rios. Todd Callaghan had an interception, Cooper Brown had a fumble recovery and a blocked extra point, and Erick Saasen and Schmidt teamed on a quarterback sack.

Timberlake Tigers 40, Post Falls Seahawks 36: Louis Powell rushed for three touchdowns for the Tigers, who finished the season 7-1. Jeremy McLemore, Gage Benefield and Brayden Herbert each ran for one score, and extra points were run in by Joe Follini and Gage Benefield.

Gavin Fullmer had an interception, and Gage Benefield had a sack and fumble recovery.

Timberlake Tigers 47, Lakeland 12: Earlier, Brayden Herbert ran for three touchdowns, Jeremy McLemore two and Joey Follini one for the Tigers. Nick Probst threw a touchdown pass and also had an interception. Gage Benefield, Jeremy McLemore and Joey Follini each ran in extra points.

YOUTH SOCCER

Indoor league scheduled: The Academy is putting on a pair of 10-game 5v5 youth leagues - the first from Dec. 1 to Feb. 3, the second from Feb. 1 to March 31.

Games are scheduled for 40 minutes, on Saturdays and Sundays, with a signup cost of $350 per team. Games are scheduled for The Dome, 167 Miles Ave., in Hayden.

Soccer academies scheduled: The Academy is offering three sessions of introductory soccer leagues for boys and girls age 4-9 on Mondays at The Dome, 167 W. Miles Ave., in Hayden.

Session No. 3 is Nov. 4-25. Cost is $45 for four weeks.

Session No. 4 is Jan. 13-Feb. 10. Cost is $55 for five weeks.

Session No. 5 is April 14-May 12. Cost is $55 fro five weeks.

Ages 4-6 will meet from 4 to 5 p.m.; ages 7-9 will meet from 5 to 6 p.m.

BASKETBALL

NIBA skills clinic set: The North Idaho Basketball Academy's skills clinic is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 10 at North Idaho College's Christianson Gym. The clinic is hosted by NIC assistant women's basketball coach Cal DeHaas. Instruction will be provided by the North Idaho Avalanche and NIBA coaches.

Times - 3rd-5th grade boys, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; 3rd-5th grade girls, 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.; 6th-8th grade boys, 2 to 3:30 p.m.; and 6th-8th grade girls, 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Cost is $25 for early registration (through Nov. 7) and includes a t-shirt. Registration at the door is $30. T-shirts for 'day of' registrations will be limited to stock on hand.

Coeur d'Alene Sting under-10 boys Barcelona: The Sting beat Academy Idaho 9-0 on Oct. 16 at Hayden Meadows Soccer Complex. Joseph Sarkis had 2 goals and 1 assist; Kohrt Weber had 2 goals and 2 assists; Sean Dremann had 2 goals; Tyler Gasper had 1 goal; Walker Jump had 1 goal and 3 assists and Colten Stinson had 1 goal and 1 assist. Cole Jaworski, Colten Stinson, Bridger Stephens and Sean Heuer combined in goal for the shutout.

On Oct. 19, the Sting beat Spokane Shadow AC Milan 9-1 at the Dwight Merkel Soccer Complex in Spokane. Kohrt Weber and Walker Jump each had 2 goals. Joseph Sarkis, Sean Dremann, Bridger Stephens, Tyler Gasper and Colten Stinson each had 1 goal. Cole Jaworski, Colten Stinson, Tyler Gasper and Joseph Sarkis combined in goal.

In their first game last Saturday, the Sting beat Spokane Shadow Liverpool 11-1 at Hayden Meadows Soccer Complex. Sean Dremann had 3 goals; Walker Jump had 2 goals; Kohrt Weber had 2 goals; Tyler Gasper had 2 goals; and Colten Stinson had 2 goals. Cole Jaworski, Colten Stinson, Bridger Stephens and Sean Heuer combined in goal.

The Sting then beat 3 Rivers Soccer Club 1-0. Cole Jaworski scored the lone goal late in the second half. Cole Jaworski, Colten Stinson, Bridger Stephens and Connor Jump teamed in goal for the shutout.

Sting U9 boys Manchester: The Sting beat Moscow United 2-0. Nate Wyatt and Nick Mason each scored one goal. The Sting then beat Moscow United U10 3-1, as Caden Thompson scored two goalf, Nate Wyatt one.

Sting U13 girls Galaxy: In the first match of the weekend, the Sting beat the NK Storm 3-2. Sydnee Rud scored a hat trick with one assist each from Maddie Morris and Lexi Medina for the Sting.

The Sting then lost 2-1 to the Kitsap Pumas. Erika Skindlov scored the lone goal for the Sting with an assist from Sydnee Rud. The last match of the weekend was against the NK Storm again., and this time NK Storm got the win 2-0.

Idaho Thunder U12 boys: On Saturday, the Thunder beat the Washington East soccer club 4-3. Josh Brisendine had two goals, and Cameron Calabretto and Jalen Skalskiy each scored one goal and had one assist. Jadyn Freeman also had one assist.

Thunder U13 girls: The Thunder beat the Spokane Sabers FC 7-0. Jazzmin Kernodle scored 4 goals, Maddy Lasher 3. Maddy Lasher had 4 assists, Bethany Gilmor and Kacy Johnston 1 each. Carly Schacher (2 saves) and Kacy Johnston (1 save) teamed for the shutout in goal.

The Thunder then beat the Spokane Scotties 5-0. Maddy Lasher scored all 5 goals, and Alaura Camp and Vi Teeters had 1 assist each. Carly Schacher (3 saves) had the shutout in goal.

Thunder U11 boys Johnson: The Thunder beat Spokane FC Gavin 9-0. Logan Koller scored four goals, Nathan Duroucher scored three, and Caleb Calkins and Lance Gilmor each scored once for the Thunder. Josh Nilson and Nathan Duroucher teamed for the shutout in goal.

Later that day the Thunder beat the Spokane Sabers 8-2. Logan Koller scored a hat trick for the Thunder, Caleb Calkins added two goals, and Nathan Duroucher, Dylon Moore and Aidan Urdrian each scored once.

Sting U10 boys United: The Sting beat the Idaho Thunder 5-0 last Wednesday. Cooper Prohaska scored two goals, Tyler Allred had two goals and an assist, Alex Reyes had a goal and two assists, and Bryce Allred had an assist. Slade Peressini and Tyler Allred teamed for the shutout in goal.

On Saturday, the Sting lost 3-2 to the Three Rivers U10 boys A team. Cooper Prohaska scored both goals for the Sting, and Alex Reyes and Jameson Elliott each had assists.

Later that day, the Sting beat the Spokane Shadow South Hill 3-2. Alex Reyes had two goals and an assist for the Sting, Cooper Prohaska had a goal and an assist, and Patrick Du had an assist.

Sting U10 girls Reign: The Sting beat Three Rivers 3 (Crowe) 4-1, as Taytum Curtis and Gabrielle Roberts each scored twice.

The Sting then tied Three Rivers 1 (Suarez) 2-2. Lucy Evans and Gabrielle Roberts each scored once for the Sting, and Taytum Curtis and Olivia Wyatt each had assists.

Sting U9 boys Arsenal: On Saturday, the Sting lost 5-3 to the Moscow U10B. Chris Mongan, Luke Orozco and Andrew Allen each scored for the Sting.

The Sting then tied the Moscow U10 Maynord 4-4. Jack Meehan scored two goals, Alexander Nipp and Logan Betschart one each for the Sting.

The Academy U14 boys: The Academy beat the Sting 4-0 last Sunday at Post Falls High School. Robbie Butterfield scored twice, and Johnny Stenberg and Caleb McKluskie each scored once.

Earlier, The Academy tied FC Spokane 1-1 in Spokane. Nick Morris scored the tying goal for The Academy.

The Academy lost 4-3 on Saturday to the SYSA Spiders. Alex Moate, Cody Caravajal and Andrew Ferreira each scored once in the loss.

Sting U10 boys Celtic: The Sting played a doubleheader at Hayden Meadows. The first game was a 4-4 tie against Three Rivers 2 from the Tri-Cities. Kimball Waddell scored two goals, Ashton Fredekind and Daniel Dawson one each. In the second game the Sting beat the Spokane Shadow Manchester 4-1 on goals from Lucas Woods, Kimball Waddell, Tate Novak and Dallin Dance. The Sting is now 6-4-1.

Sting U10 girls Thorn: The Thorns beat the 3 Rivers 4 team 2-0. Amber Aittama scored both goals, and Molly Foster and Danika Nowak teamed in goal for the shutout. The Thorns then defeated the 3 Rivers 2 team 4-0. Amber Aittama scored two goals, and Molly Foster and Isabella Lucky each scored once. Molly Foster and Danika Nowak were the keepers in the shutout.

Sting U10 boys Barcelona: The Sting beat Three Rivers Soccer Club 1-0 last Saturday. Cole Jaworski scored the lone goal, unassisted. Colton Stinson, Sean Heuer, Bridger Stephens and Cole Jaworski were in goal for Sting.

Colton Stinson scored a hat trick (one unassisted, two assist from Cole Jaworski), Tyler Gasper scored two goals (one unassisted, one assist from Walker Jump), Walker Jump scored two (one assist from Kohrt Weber, one assist from Cole Jaworski), Sean Dreman scored two goals (one unassisted, one assist from Colton Stinson), Joseph Sarkis scored once (assist from Tyler Gasper), and Cole Jaworski scored once unassisted).

On Oct. 19, the Sting beat the Spokane Shadow Liverpool 9-1. Sting goals were scored by Kohrt Weber (2), Walker Jump (2), Joseph Sarkis, Sean Dremann, Bridger Stephens, Tyler Gasper and Colton Stinson.

On Oct. 16, the Sting beat the Idaho Academy 9-0. Joseph Sarkis had 2 goals and 1 assist, Kohrt Weber 2 goals and 1 assist, Sean Dremann 2 goals, Tyler Gasper 1 goal, Walker Jump 1 goal and 3 assists and Colton Stinson had a goal and an assist.
