A Whitefish woman has pleaded not guilty to a pair of felonies after allegedly driving while on a multi-day methamphetamine bender and with her 4-year-old daughter in the car.

Loni Kathleen Greer, 28, entered the pleas Thursday in Flathead District Court to charges of criminal child endangerment and criminal endangerment.

According to a court document, Greer called the Whitefish Police Department on Sept. 30 to report someone was following her and trying to take her daughter. Shortly thereafter, the department received a call from employees of the Grizzly Den Bar reporting a woman in the bar with a small child on her lap.

Responding officers found Greer with her daughter on her lap at the bar, at which point Greer allegedly told one of the officers she had been on a “runner” for the past two days — staying awake by continually snorting and smoking meth.

On Sept. 29, Greer allegedly told police, she and a friend had used meth and drank an alcoholic Twisted Tea while on their way to Havre to pick up Greer’s daughter from her ex-husband. Greer allegedly continued to drink and use meth overnight before driving back the following day.

During the drive back, Greer began to “see things” and feel weird, and also lost her hearing, she allegedly told police. She said she then pulled over and asked her friend to drive to Columbia Falls. Greer reportedly told police that as they were approaching Columbia Falls, she began to suspect her friend was conspiring to take her daughter. When she let the friend out of the car, Greer allegedly jumped back in the car with her daughter and drove to the bar.

She also allegedly failed field sobriety tests; blood was drawn by authorities and sent to the state crime lab.
