COEUR d'ALENE - The seventh annual Books for Tots book drive reception is 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Bardenay Restaurant.

The Books for Tots program was created by Linda Rohlinger seven years ago, according to Craig Brosenne from Hagadone Marine Group.

The goal of the organization is to collect 8,000 new books for underprivileged children in Kootenai County. The program is similar to Toys for Tots.

Hagadone Marine Group is collecting books now and trying to fill one of its boats with books to donate at the event.
