Get involved in Windows on Whitefish fall mosaic
Daily Inter-Lake | UPDATED 11 years, 2 months AGO
Stumptown Art Studio’s Window on Whitefish project is currently in the phase of working on the third window or a four-piece mosaic. This panel, “Fall,” will be joining the summer and spring windows on the brick wall at the Second and Central intersection in Whitefish upon completion.
There is still time to get involved with the project.
Once the introductory mosaic class has been completed, volunteers are eligible to work on the 6- by 9-foot large Windows on Whitefish mosaic window. Those who still need to finish their training pieces may come in any time the Windows on Whitefish headquarters are open.
Deb Stika, artistic director of the project, has developed the images that will be used in the murals and is instructing the general public in the workshops and construction of the murals. She has also established the Mosaic Co-op for those interested in creating their own projects. Contact her for details at 862-7878 or rehabart@bresnan.net.
