The Northwest Threshing Bee began Friday at Olsen Pioneer Park at the intersection of Helena Flats Road and Pioneer Road north of Kalispell. The event continues today and tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. The event features demonstrations of old-time farming practices as well as tools and antique equipment.

Climate change awards announced

Climate Smart Glacier Country announced its Climate Smart Champions during a ceremony at the Earth Day celebration April 21 in Whitefish. Awards were presented to businesses, youth and an individual who are leaders in building local solutions to climate change challenges.
