The Alberton Lady Panther volleyball squad began their week of play with a home game against Victor on Thursday night.
Head Coach Hannah Anderson said the team played a complete game and the results were a win for both the junior varsity and varsity teams.
“They played as a team, had some fantastic hits, serves, and played great defense,” Coach Anderson said.
On Friday night, the Lady Panthers hit the road and squared off against powerhouse Valley Christian, which resulted in a straight-set loss for Alberton.
“They definitely did not play to their full potential,” Coach Anderson said.
In spite of the loss to Valley Christian, the Lady Panthers look to work hard on defense in practice in preparation for games against Seeley and Lincoln.
“The team is really coming together and feeling confident in their positions and in their team,” Coach Anderson said. “The team had some great covering and serves, and we are very excited for this next week.”
