The Montana Trolley Company offers a chance to enjoy live music and fine dining while cruising the Flathead Valley.

The Kalispell business’s Dinner About Town tour invites people to book the trolley, pick up food from a local restaurant and drive to a destination of their choice.

“Some pick the destinations, some say, ‘Take us wherever,’” business owner Scott Davis said, adding that the trolley has taken people around to parks, up Foy’s Lake Road and all across the valley.

Scott Sorenson — aka Scott Free — plays solo guitar music on the dinner trolley rides. If banjo or accordion is more your style, the Trolley Company can book those musicians, too.

“Scott plays every genre: jazz, soft rock, country,” Davis said. “He works out wonderful on the trolley.”

Everyone from bachelorettes to women out for dinner and a play to birthday party goers have booked the trolley, Davis said.

Cost varies based on where people want to eat; past choices have included the Montana Club and Cislo’s. The hour-and-a-half trolley ride costs $150, and live music costs extra.

The trolley can seat from 12 to 14 people, Davis said.
