Local Golf Results: Johnston, McDaniel win Elks tournament

POLSON — Jeanne Johnston took home her fourth win at the annual Mission Valley Elks Tournament held at Polson Bay Golf Course last weekend, shooting a 110 through 18 holes.
It was Johnston’s second win in a row in the event and her fourth overall.
Dave McDaniel, who shot a 75, won the men’s division for the second time.
The field consisted of 37 players who played the course’s Olde 9 twice.

Alex Killian of the Polson H.S. golf team hit a hole in one during a practice round on the ninth hole of the Olde 9 at Polson Bay Golf Course.
He used a 9 iron, and the hole was playing at 139 yards.
Witnesses were Reno Lindesmith, Jaylin Kenney and Nicole Clairmont.
