MOSES LAKE - A man in his early 20s was shot and killed Tuesday evening inside a vehicle parked at the Airport Grocery Mart on Patton Boulevard.

A male suspect, identified as Anthony R. Vasquez, 23, fled the scene and reportedly barricaded himself inside a home near Ottmar Road Northwest and Cochran Road Northeast in Moses Lake's Cascade Valley, according to a spokesperson from the Grant County Sheriff's Office.

The suspect's vehicle was found at the Ottmar Road address, but police later reported they had not found any suspects.

Vasquez is considered armed and dangerous.  Police asked the public Tuesday night to stay away from Valley Road and Ottmar Rod as they continued their search.

Vasquez is 5-feet-5-inches tall, 180 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

He was last seen wearing white shorts, a white tank top, and a white and black baseball cap.

He was still being sought late Tuesday evening.

The shooting likely wasn't random, according to the sheriff's office.

The name of the deceased man wasn't released by press time Tuesday.

Patton Boulevard was closed near the crime scene south of Randolph Road and north of Craig Street.
