ROYAL CITY - The new Building Blocks Academy preschool in Royal City is up and running, and Director Jessica Stewart is seeking public support for an event on Sept. 19.

"We would like to invite community members to the park to cheer on the preschool students as we parade our "B for bike" around the park at 11 a.m.," Stewart said.

Stewart's new private preschool is located where Pies by Ronna used to be. Enrollment is at capacity for 2013 with 12 students, and there are some needs the public could meet.

Stewart is seeking donations for dress up clothes and play food/grocery items. Also helpful would be scooters, tricycles and other outdoor equipment.

For information on Building Blocks you may email Stewart at jg_tootsie@yahoo.com or call (509) 431-1935. The school's address is 310 Camelia Street.

Class times are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30-11:30 a.m.
