Pat keeps asking me to take her to Seattle for a Seahawks game, but I dare not. I'm afraid she'll paint her face blue and green and gunk up her hair.

Already she's taking credit for the first two victories of the new NFL season. That's because she's been wearing the 12th man jersey I got her for Christmas.

Sunday was a glorious, if not crazy night for Seahawk football. There was a rainout, there was a blackout, there was a world record for noise, there was a crowd record (68,338), and the Seahawks blasted the 49ers, 29-3.

I went to the local eatery and picked up a couple of cheeseburgers just before the game. It was about 5 o'clock when I got back, and there was Pat plopped in front of the TV with her jersey.

She was nervous. She kept fidgeting waiting for the game to start. That's how much she wanted to beat the 49ers. Once the game started and Seattle delivered its first defensive blows, she calmed down.

"We're gonna do it," she said.

Then came the rain and the lightning. And the Seahawks had to take cover. Pat just kept her eyes on that TV.

Then we had a blackout at our house. We are on DISH, and it takes a while for it to return once the power is back on. Pat got nervous again.

"What's going on with my boys?" she asked frantically.

We found out later that the boys were dancing and singing and taking showers before returning to the field. Talk about relaxed.

It turned out we didn't miss a thing. Our power and television service came back before the game resumed. Pat was one happy camper.

Shortly after the return of the game, Seattle defensive end Michael Bennett sacked 49er quarterback Colin Kaepernick, and Pat went crazy. All the way from Granger, she helped the stadium crowd set a new world record for noise at 131.9 decibels.

She helped again when Marshawn Lynch walked into the end zone with his second touchdown in the fourth quarter. This time it was 136.6 decibels.

The fourth quarter was all noise at our house. The Seahawks poured it on as the contest came to a close.

Even I joined in the fun, slapping high fives, low fives and in between fives with Pat after the spectacular Richard Sherman interception that sealed the victory.

"See, you're a crazy Seahawk fan, too," she said.
